Research

Our areas of research focus on microbial and pathogenic ecology of terrestrial, freshwater and marine environments; and the impacts caused by agriculture, storm waters, recreational and industrial processes. Furthermore we are looking at macronutrient cycles and how human interactions are altering the balance of these cycles which have climate changing impacts. A better understanding of pathogen interactions and macronutrient cycles are fundamental in sustaining the natural resources that we have and, in turn, protecting human health and biodiversity.
